Day 7: Still no major weight loss... I was hoping for at least two pounds by this point but I think I have to be realistic that 1.) it's only day 7 2.) I'm 30... I know that's not old BUT it's harder for the pounds to start falling off! So, I'm trying to be realistic and will keep on keeping on with these healthy habits!
Yesterday, after I blogged, G and I sat down and created our meals for this week. It actually turned out well because we were able to plan each meal incorporating a lot of veggies from one of our local farmer's markets. It's been so hard to find recipes that are healthy, not that there aren't a lot of options, but we seem to get in this rut of eating the same things over and over. With the help of Pinterest and Martha Stewart online, we created a yummy menu for the week. Hopefully planning ahead, will allow us to be more conscientious of our calorie intake
Monday
Breakfast: strawberry and peach smoothie with milk and pomegranate juice - 300 calories
Lunch: Salad with lunchmeat
Dinner: Duckworth's for Laura Sweets (one of my bridesmaids) birthday-I plan to eat one of the following but I am still playing with my calories for the day: steak salad, grilled chicken sandwich, or chicken nachos *note that I have nachos once per week and do not plan to give these up) If I decide to have nachos, I have to be very calorie conscious each day.
Snack: Fruit
*I'm a little nervous about calories for today BUT, I can do this :)
Tuesday
Breakfast: Bagel with WW cream cheese, cereal, Carnation
Instant breakfast, or oatmeal
Lunch: Tortilla Pizza
Dinner: Dirty Rice w/sausage
Snack: Fruit
Wednesday
Breakfast: Bagel with WW cream cheese, cereal, Carnation
Instant breakfast, or oatmeal
Lunch: Moo Su Vegetables
Dinner: BBQ chicken with mozzarella veggies
Snack: Fruit
Thursday
Breakfast: Bagel with WW cream cheese, cereal, Carnation
Instant breakfast, or oatmeal
Lunch: Vegetable Crepes
Dinner: zucchini spaghetti and meatballs with Garlic
mashed potatoes
Snack: Fruit
Friday
Breakfast: Bagel with WW cream cheese, cereal, Carnation
Instant breakfast, or oatmeal
Lunch: Spicy Orecchiette with Broccoli
Dinner: Sirloin steak (peach stand) on grill with
grilled corn
Snack: Fruit
