Tomorrow marks 9 months of bliss! It's crazy to reflect on everything that's happened in the past nine months... now we're looking forward to the next chapter in our life together. Week one of our engagement flew by, we've already gotten so much accomplished! Our biggest accomplishment thus far is that our venue and photographer are both booked.
Although we stumbled upon Byron's South End quite accidentally, we fell in love with from the moment we walked through the doors. We decided early on, way before the official engagement happened, that everything in the wedding HAD to represent one or both of us... Byron's did just that. It isn't any secret that Fort Mill and surrounding counties are known for the Springs Industries, but many people don't know that most of my family at one point or another has worked for the company. As a matter of fact, all four of my grandparents and both of my parents worked there. So when Geoffrey and I found out Byron's South End was an old factory, there wasn’t any question, we found our venue. The exposed beams and rustic feel and more importantly the connection to my family was exactly what we were looking for!
Photography... I've always enjoyed taking photographs of my own but then God blessed me with a best friend that is a photographer. Needless to say, Rhiannon will not be my photographer as she will be standing beside me as I marry my best friend... so the search began with some pretty large shoes to fill.
There are so many great photographers out there; however, when Geoff and I discovered Critsey Rowe, we knew we must meet with what we considered to be a standout among others! Of course we took Rhiannon with us to meet with Critsey and as we met with her, we knew she would be a great fit for us! Our engagement session is on Sunday this week and we can't wait to see how our pictures turn out!
